MYSTERY
Historians study context. In this lesson, students will gain historical context to help them understand the Reconstruction Amendments. They will apply their understanding of lesson vocabulary to help them summarize the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments, and determine how each one addressed slavery’s wrongs. Students will use evidence gathered during the lesson to answer the mystery question: "How did the Reconstruction Amendments attempt to address slavery’s wrongs?
